Questions about training
The most common questions we receive about our CPD training programmes and delivery.
Residential childcare staff need a combination of mandatory and developmental training. Mandatory training includes safeguarding, first aid, medication administration, and health and safety. Developmental training should cover trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, de-escalation techniques, behaviour support, and reflective practice. The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is the minimum qualification for staff, with managers working towards Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
