I have known Tanya Humphries since 2023 in the capacity of consultant The work Tanya Humphries completed / Oversaw with our organisation/ my-self consisted of Consultancy regarding children’s residential homes. Tanya is extremely well versed in the industry which helps gain confidence as a director. I had spoken to multiple consultants before engaging but I personally feel Tanya was more “direct” and “Straight to the point” when providing information. Tanya is very honest about her opinions which has helped greatly when looking for the right staff.

I am writing this letter to support Tanya Humphries. I have known Tanya Humphries since April 2025 in the capacity of responsible Individual. Tanya joined the company at a time when the home was understaffed and played a key role in supporting the recruitment of highly skilled staff, ensuring the home could continue to deliver excellent care. Her arrival coincided with the home’s goal to achieve an outstanding Ofsted grade, and she contributed significantly to helping us reach this milestone. Tanya ensured that the right people were recruited, advocated effectively on my behalf as manager to ensure the home was furnished and resourced to the appropriate standard, and provided support for my professional development. Her contribution has had a lasting impact on the quality of care and the operational success of the home. As a team, we were awarded Team of the Year at the National Awards, thanks to Tanya’s recognition of the work delivered in the home and her taking the time to nominate us. Her support and advocacy ensured that the team’s dedication and achievements were celebrated at a national level. As my manager, Tanya has been incredibly supportive, consistently having my back and championing my development. She has supported me throughout my Level 7 Senior Leadership course by providing the time, guidance and valuable learning experience needed to achieve my qualification and challenge myself to progress further.

I have known Tanya since August 2024 in the capacity of Responsible Individual for Harmonia House, and additionally through my work with Nurturing Steps, where I am one of their Regulation 44 Visitors since October 2025. During this time, Tanya has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, professionalism, and a deep commitment to high quality residential childcare. The work she has overseen within both organisations reflects her strong values, her safeguarding expertise, and her ability to create environments where children and staff feel safe, supported, and able to thrive. Tanya’s business and the services she provides are grounded in integrity, transparency, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people. She brings a thoughtful, trauma-informed approach to her work, ensuring that every decision is child centred and aligned with regulatory expectations. Her oversight is always thorough and solution-focused, which has been invaluable in maintaining high standards of care and compliance. Tanya is also highly approachable and collaborative. She supports teams with clarity and fairness, encourages reflective practice, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and it has been a privilege to work alongside her in both capacities.

I am writing in support of Tanya Humphries, whom I have known since May 2021 in a professional capacity. Tanya has worked as a consultant for two social care organisations I have supported over the past five years.

Within my current organisation, Tanya provided advice and guidance throughout the registration process, wrote letters of appeal to regulators, carried out mock fit person interviews with prospective managers, and supported and led registered manager recruitment interviews. She also supported a previous organisation I worked with between 2021 and 2025, assisting directors to open the business, including work on business plans, cash flows, Ofsted applications, and senior management recruitment.

Tanya has been a significant support both to the organisations I have worked with and to me personally, consistently offering guidance and expertise. She is approachable, kind, and clearly passionate about ensuring children are safe and receive the best possible care. I would confidently recommend Tanya to any organisation requiring support within children’s services.

Tanya has worked closely with us throughout the Ofsted registration process, including vetting and preparing staff for Ofsted interviews, as well as providing specialist, bespoke advice. She has developed me along the way and given me the skill set and tools to continue running my homes, to a high quality. Tanya conducts herself in a calm professional manner at all times, even under the most pressurised situations. Tanya has showed trust and loyalty during her time with me and offered a host of different skill sets she has, such as her knowledge of not only the care industry but her HR knowledge, her ability to retain engagement during training sessions, recruitment, professional network, resources and innovative ideas that I have implemented into my homes. I am truly grateful for this women, who was not overwhelmed by the position the home was in when she came in and was able to up-skill the entire staff team across the two homes and bring the home out of compliance.

Tanya has, Supporting myself through my registration, Auditing the paperwork within the home in preparation for our Ofsted registration, Giving sound advice and guidance to myself and my team as a critical friend during her Regulation 44 inspections, that has prepared us get ready for our first Ofsted inspection to which we received a GOOD in all area’s Throughout the duration Tanya has showed a passion for achieving the best for children, demonstrated a strong understanding of Ofsted Regulation requirements and safeguarding measures and strategies, and remained empowering, professional, and supportive in her approach to both my team and me through the time working with our organisation.

In addition Tanya helped with completing our application form and conducted mock interviews for both Registered Manager and Nominated Individual. We really appreciate and thank Tanya for the work she did for us, as without this we would have struggled with this process and have now successfully registered as Ofsted Approved Supported Accommodation provider.
